There I've put it out there into the bloggy universe! I'm going back to Slimming World!!!
Now this post isn't to inspire lots of comments about how I "don't need to slim". This is about my own motivation and making a promise to myself and you guys!!
I joined Slimming World on 19th January 2011. I lost 1 1/2st in 10 months. This may seem like a long time, but I didn't have massive amounts to loose and went on three all inclusive holidays in that same year!! (Ooops!)
Once you reach target with Slimming World, and remain within 3lbs either way, your membership is free. I was always very proud that, even over Christmas I managed to loose any gain in order to maintain my free membership.
Until recently.
I have now gained over half a stone and I am well out of my target range. I began paying again and then I haven't been for three weeks since as I have found it so hard to go back. The problem here is if I miss over 6 weeks, I either have to pay for the weeks I have missed, or loose all of my previous history.
I have a holiday coming up in three weeks from tomorrow - which is ample time to loose half a stone if I stick to the plan, or at least get within 3lbs of it in order to maintain my target range.
So this is my little promise to myself and you guys! I'm going back to my old group, tomorrow and I'm going to loose that half stone before my holiday. I'm going to do it properly, no mucking about, writing everything down, meal planning and counting everything!
This is not suddenly going to become a weight loss blog, but I will do a weekly update on Wednesdays following my weigh in. I will also include my weekly meal plans.
What I need from you is moral bloggy support! A virtual 'put the cake down' Jenni if you will! Blogging will be what prevents me from having that pudding because if I'm tapping away I can't be eating!
Wish me luck, and if you want to join me on my journey, let me know. Any weight loss journey is hard no matter how big or how small, and we all need someone watching those scales for us!!
I'll be back tomorrow with my stats and letting you know how group went.I'm more nervous than I was about originally joining!
Wish me luck!!!
I do slimming world! So i'm here for moral support as I know it's hard loosing weight!xx
ReplyDeleteYey for Slimming World! It is brilliant as far as a diet goes and it is really easy to stick to I'm not sure what's gone wrong with me really.
DeleteHow are you getting on Erin? Shall we be weight loss buds lol
Hello! so strange! ive just packed my gym back ready to start back tomorrow! Same journey as you. I joined the Gym Jan 2012, I went every single day without fail until April, went on 2 holidays in April then i stopped going! i had one whole month off and gained weight again, DAMN IT lol
ReplyDeleteI lost about half a stone in 3 months, so now my next goal is september as i am a bridesmaid... Keep in touch with me as it ALWAYS helps to know someone trying to do the same thing...

I used to go to the gym too - but I did two Zumba classes one dance and one yoga. I loved it but it took up a lot of time and my job is quite demanding. I also figured that rather than spending the money I have a treadmill wii Zumba and a Labrador who loves going for a long walk!! All free exercise lol! I'll let you know how I get on incorporating exercise again too
DeleteMy mum did slimming world and she lost a stone, it seems to always be successful! The food was nice as well, I have to admit! Good luck getting back on it and good luck! xxx
ReplyDeleteThanks Becca - the food is pretty good it just isn't convienience food. A SW doner kebab takes about an hour and a half to make whereas it takes about a minute and a half to fetch one from the chippy lol
DeleteI think it's so brilliant to set yourself goals to make yourself feel as good as you can :) I'm not dieting at the minute but I'm trying to eat more healthily and cut down on the chocolate and things and I'm deffo feeling better for it :D
ReplyDeleteGood luck with it all, I have faith in you :D

Thank you lovely :) that's exactly what it's about - how I feel. Because I have been lower in weight than I am now I feel really sluggish and my clithes feel that bit too tight - going up a size in H&M was the icing on the cake lol - good luck with yours too :)
DeleteI'm so with you! Unlike you, I have three year baby weight to shift. Yes three years!!! I get really into the gym and healthy eating and always seem to slip back into bad habits, but I've really got to stick with it this time!
